Delhi Police arrested the person who threatened to bomb schools and courts in Mysuru.
Mysuru (Karnataka), March 29. Delhi Police has raided a house in Mysuru, Karnataka and caught the person who had spread panic across the country by sending not one or two but 1,100 fake bomb blast messages. Police raided a house in Vrindavan Layout of the city and arrested the accused Srinivas alias Srinivas Lewis. 47 year old Srinivas was sending these fake messages from unknown places.
Based on concrete information, the police conducted an operation and arrested him. Laptop and several SIM cards have been recovered from him. During interrogation, it was revealed that he had sent a total of 1,100 threatening messages across the country. Recently, many High Courts, schools, colleges and government offices of the country including the national capital Delhi and Mysuru had received bomb threats. These threats were sent through email and other means, after which FIRs were registered in many police stations.
Bengaluru resident Srinivas Lewis is a highly educated unemployed person.
Accused Srinivas is originally a resident of Bengaluru. He is unmarried and lives with his mother in a rented house in Vrindavan Layout area. He has done post graduation, currently he is unemployed. His mother is a retired government employee and takes care of the household expenses. Srinivas also has a brother, who lives somewhere else.
According to the police, the accused was mentally disturbed and was creating fear by sending fake bomb threats at different places. Recently, after the Delhi High Court received a fake bomb message, a High Court judge had also filed a complaint. In this matter, a case was registered at CEN police station in Delhi. Taking this seriously, Delhi Police started searching for the accused.
Delhi Police team reached Mysuru and V.V. With the help of Puram station police, the house located in Vrindavan Layout was raided and investigated. During investigation, a laptop and several SIM cards were found in the room. The accused was arrested on Saturday morning and taken into police custody after being produced before the judge. V.V. Puram Police Station has informed that Delhi Police has taken the accused with itself.
