Delhi Police: Auto theft gang busted, luxury cars were the target, illegal hi-tech weapons including live cartridges also recovered!
Delhi Police: Delhi Police has exposed an organized gang of inter-state active auto theft and illegal weapons. In this action, three vicious vehicle thieves have been arrested, from whom stolen luxury vehicles, illegal pistols, live cartridges and hi-tech auto theft equipment have been recovered. Delhi Police had received a secret information on December 17, with the help of which they exposed an organized gang of inter-state active auto theft and illegal weapons. In which three thieves were involved. Acting immediately on the information, the Delhi Police team saw a black Hyundai Creta car coming on the Asian Market Road at around 3:30 in the morning, on which the police became suspicious as it had no number plate. Police say that this gang of thieves used to steal expensive vehicles from Delhi-NCR and dispose of them in states like Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat.
The three accused in the car, Abrar alias Shahnawaz, Asif and Aneesh, were arrested on the spot and searched. In which two semi-automatic pistols, four live cartridges, fake number plates, programmable keys and sophisticated tools for stealing vehicles were also recovered from them. The three arrested accused had already been involved in many criminal cases, which makes it clear that this was a professional and organized gang. Delhi Police is now busy searching for more people involved in this gang.
Police investigation revealed that Hyundai Creta was already stolen from Amar Colony police station area. At the behest of the accused, a Toyota Innova Crysta and a Maruti Brezza were also recovered, which are related to the cases already registered in different police stations. Delhi Police had received secret information on 17 December 2025 that some notorious auto lifters were going to come to Pushp Vihar area with illegal weapons.
