News India Live, Digital Desk: Delhi Cabinet Minister and senior AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj, during a press conference, has raised serious questions on the “alleged coordination” between the judiciary and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). This controversy has started after a fresh stay order given by Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma of Delhi High Court in the liquor policy case (CBI Case). The main reason for the controversy (The Spark of Conflict) Recently, Rouse Avenue Court (lower court) had discharged all the 23 accused including Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi Liquor Policy case. Also, the court had made strong comments on the CBI investigation and directed action against the investigating officer. High Court’s intervention: Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma, while hearing the CBI petition, has put an interim stay on those comments and action orders of the lower court. Saurabh Bhardwaj’s attack: After this stay order, Saurabh Bhardwaj asked – “How do BJP leaders know in advance what is going to happen in the court?” Saurabh 3 big questions raised by Bhardwaj BJP’s ‘forecast’: Bhardwaj claimed that BJP leader Kapil Mishra and state president Virendra Sachdeva had posted on social media even before the court order that “the picture is still pending”. He questioned whether the BJP was getting advance information about the court orders.Relation between Justice and BJP: The Minister directly asked what is the relationship between Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma and the BJP, which BJP leaders seem so confident about. Impartiality of the Judiciary: Bhardwaj expressed concern whether the investigating agencies and the BJP are jointly trying to influence the court process.Court’s stand and further proceedings Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma’s bench has made it clear that first On the face of it, the comments of the lower court appear to be ‘erroneous’. Notice issued: The High Court has issued notice to all the 23 accused asking them to present their side in this case. Date: The next hearing of this case will be on 16 March 2026. Till then there will be a stay on any punitive action against CBI officers. BJP’s counterattack: BJP has termed these statements of Saurabh Bhardwaj as ‘contempt of court’. BJP leaders say that AAP praises the judiciary when the verdict is in favour, and when the process stops, they start personal attacks on the judges.
