Under this programme, two new metro corridors will be inaugurated, while the foundation stone of three new corridors will be laid. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that after the completion of these projects, the capital will get the country’s first ‘Ring Metro’ facility, which will further improve connectivity between different parts of the city. This is expected to provide a lot of convenience to the passengers in their transportation.

The Chief Minister gave this information on Thursday during the program of laying the foundation stone of a Foot Over Bridge (FOB) in the Monastery Market area near Kashmere Gate ISBT. He said that the Delhi government respects all the people living in the capital, irrespective of the state they belong to, and is working to provide better basic facilities to all. He said that strengthening the transport infrastructure for the development of Delhi is the priority of the government.

He said that India never attacked any other country and even if the country took up arms, it was only for self-defense. The Chief Minister said that the Public Works Department (PWD) will construct this foot over bridge at a cost of about Rs 3 crore. The FOB will be designed keeping in mind the culture and traditions of Ladakh.

CM Rekha Gupta said that families from Ladakh have been living in this area for many years and everyone is like a family. He said that people from different states and regions live in the country’s capital and the government respects all the residents. During this, he also targeted the Aam Aadmi Party and said that the previous government gave priority to vote bank politics instead of the welfare of the people. He said that the aim of the present government is to ensure better infrastructure and development for all the citizens of Delhi.
