Delhi traders estimate business worth Rs 2000 crore on Holi; The safe will be filled!

Holi Milan celebrations are being witnessed at various places in Delhi-NCR. Holi is being played in traditional style with flowers and colors. The festive atmosphere is at its peak before Holi in the capital Delhi. According to the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI), this time there is a possibility of more than 5 thousand programs and business worth Rs 2000 crore.

According to Brijesh Goyal, Chairman of the Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) and General Secretary Gurmeet Arora, the apex organization of traders, this time the number of Holi Milan celebrations has increased almost four times as compared to normal years. Many such organizations are also organizing programs this time, which earlier used to organize events once in 3-4 years.

Special arrangements are being made for cultural programmes, music and delicious food in these events. Even before the festival, the atmosphere of the capital has become completely festive.

According to Brijesh Goyal, this time on the occasion of Holi, more than 5 thousand programs are expected to be organized in Delhi. A business potential of around Rs 2000 crore has been predicted in the entire city. During the festival, all small and big traders get benefits and the flow of cash in the market increases.

This is also being considered a positive sign from business point of view. CTI officials say that these events are strengthening Delhi’s economy and people from various sectors are getting employment. Work has increased in many sectors including tent houses, anchors, singers, dance artists, confectioners, sound-DJs, event organizers, banquet halls, catering, decoration, color-gulal, flower, pichkari and sweets traders.

He said that there will be a holiday on the occasion of Holi in more than 700 markets including Kashmere Gate, Chandni Chowk, Chawri Bazaar, Khari Baoli, Sadar Bazaar, Karol Bagh, Connaught Place, Lajpat Nagar, Nehru Place, Kamla Nagar, Rajouri Garden, Rohini, Shahdara and Tilak Nagar. Besides, factories in 56 industrial areas of Delhi will also remain closed on this day.
