A couple from West Bengal has been arrested in the police investigation. Initial investigation has revealed that the accused reached Delhi after traveling about 1,400 kilometers allegedly due to a property dispute and committed the murder.

1. The matter came to light when his sister Devrati Paul called several times in the morning, but received no response. Due to lack of continuous contact, she went straight to the flat. The flat was found locked from outside. When she became suspicious, she opened the door and went inside, where Debosmita Paul was found dead. After this the police was immediately informed.
2. According to the police, the professor had serious injury marks on his head and the nerves of his wrist were also cut. However, during investigation, cash, jewelery and other valuables were found safe from the house. This was the reason why the possibility of robbery was almost ruled out in the initial investigation.
3. During the investigation of the murder, the police took the help of CCTV footage and technical evidence. In the footage, a man and a woman were seen entering the flat and later coming out. Both of them were wearing masks to hide their identities, but the police reached the accused on the basis of their activities and other clues.
4. Police have arrested a couple from Burdwan, West Bengal. Investigation has revealed that both of them had come to Delhi allegedly in connection with a property dispute. Officials say that the accused traveled a long distance to commit the crime and entered the professor’s house as acquaintances.
