Delhi: Chowkidar brutally murdered in Peeragadhi, crushed to death twice by car
A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from Paschim Vihar West area of the capital Delhi. The case of suspicious death of a 60-year-old watchman in Peeragarhi village has now turned into murder. In the initial investigation, it was believed to be a road accident, but CCTV footage and evidence obtained from the spot revealed the horrific truth of the entire incident.
A bloody body was found near the temple
According to the police, at around 4:03 am on May 24, 2026, information was received about a person lying injured near the tempo stand located at the entry gate of Peeragadhi village, Shri Siddh Baba Mandir. As soon as the information was received, Paschim Vihar West police station reached the spot, where an elderly person was found in an unconscious state. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead. The deceased has been identified as Bijendra (60), son of late Chanda Bhan, resident of Peeragadhi village, Delhi. He used to work as a watchman at the tempo stand in the area.
It turned out to be a premeditated murder, not an accident.
Initially the police was investigating the incident as a road accident, but skid marks found at the spot changed the direction of the investigation. After this, the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby was scrutinized, which revealed shocking things. The footage showed that a four-wheeler not only hit Bijendra but also crushed him twice. Seriously injured Bijendra died while being taken to the hospital.
Accused driver absconding, several police teams engaged in investigation
Taking the matter seriously, the police have registered a case of murder under section 103(1)/3(5) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) at Paschim Vihar West police station. Special teams of Paschim Vihar sub-division and Outer District Operation Unit have been deployed for investigation. At the same time, FSL and crime team have also inspected the incident spot and collected important evidence. At present the accused driver is absconding and the police are continuously raiding in search of him. Officials claim that the accused will be arrested soon.
