Delhi Weather: Due to dense fog, the air of the capital has become poisonous, AQI in severe category.
The air has become more poisonous due to the haze that has engulfed the atmosphere of Delhi, even on Wednesday morning Delhi's AQI remained beyond 400 i.e. in the serious category. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for this. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI of the capital stood at 445 points on Wednesday, which puts the air in the severe category, whereas a day earlier on Tuesday it was at 433 points. Instead of improving in 24 hours, it has increased by only 10 points. If AQI is above 450, it is kept in Severe Plus or very serious category, while in more than 10 areas the index has been above 450. It is a matter of concern that these include the most busy and busy areas like ITO, Anand Vihar and Mathura Road

Pusa area of Delhi remained the coldest, hence it may be difficult for the drivers in the next two days. The weather department estimates that heavy fog may persist in many areas of Delhi, and the visibility level at Safdarjung weather center had dropped to 50 meters at 6 am. Pusa area of Delhi was the coldest, where the minimum temperature was 05 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal, and humidity was 100 to 49%. The minimum temperature was 7.6 degrees Celsius, which was one degree below normal.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Thursday and Friday, according to which the fog blanket will become even denser in the next two days. Visibility level of less than 50 meters indicates extremely dense fog conditions. The maximum temperature on Thursday is expected to be 23 degrees Celsius and minimum 07 degrees Celsius, and the wind speed will be four to eight kilometers per hour, due to which the fog will persist for a long time.

Due to low visibility, about 30 trains running in North India were delayed, arriving more than an hour behind schedule. These include many major trains including Rajdhani, Shramjeevi, Sivaganga, AP Express, as well as trains going from Delhi.
There is no hope of relief right now
According to the Air Quality Early Warning System, the average wind speed is expected to be less than ten kilometers per hour during the next two days. Along with this, the growth of pollutant particles will also slow down and due to haze during the day and fog in the morning, the pollution level in Delhi will still remain in the severe category.
