How will the weather be from Delhi-NCR to UP-Bihar? Thunderstorm alert in these states, see IMD’s latest update
Weather Update: The weather is likely to remain unusually hot in Delhi in the coming week. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature of the capital can reach 37 degrees Celsius on Monday (March 9), which is considered very high for this time in the last 15 years. On Sunday, Delhi’s minimum temperature was recorded at 16.7 degrees Celsius, which is 2.7 degrees above normal. At 8:30 am the relative humidity was recorded at 90 percent.
According to IMD forecast, the maximum temperature on Monday and Tuesday may remain around 37 degrees Celsius. After this, the temperature is likely to reach beyond 38 degrees on Wednesday. However, there may be some relief by the end of the week and the temperature is expected to drop to around 36 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday. The sky may remain partly cloudy in the capital throughout the week.
Heat increased in many districts of UP
The temperature is also increasing rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. People have started facing problems in many districts due to the continuously increasing heat. Many districts of Bundelkhand region seem to be reaching heat zone status. The state’s highest temperature has been recorded in Jhansi for the last two days, where the mercury recently reached 36.2 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the effect of heat is clearly visible due to increase in temperature in Banda and in the coming days, the maximum temperature here is expected to reach close to 40 degree Celsius.
Chances of thunderstorm and rain in Bihar
On the other hand, there is a possibility of storm and rain in 32 districts of Bihar on Monday. However, the weather is expected to remain dry in six districts of the south-western part of the state. Warning of rain with hailstorm and thunderstorm has been issued at some places in other districts. During this period, winds can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of thunderstorms and rains in seven districts of North-Eastern Bihar, due to which the maximum temperature may drop. There is a possibility of rain in five districts of south-eastern part and seven districts of north-eastern part on Tuesday and in 14 districts of North Bihar on Wednesday.
Temperature increased in neighboring states also
The effect of increasing heat in Delhi is also being seen in the surrounding states. The average maximum temperature in Haryana was recorded about 6.2 degrees Celsius above normal. The state’s highest temperature of 36.3 degrees Celsius was recorded in Hisar.
Heat increased in hilly states also
Temperatures are being recorded higher than normal even in the hilly states. The temperature in Dehradun and surrounding areas in Uttarakhand has been continuously increasing for the last few days. The minimum temperature here has increased from 12 degrees Celsius to 17.8 degrees Celsius, which is about 6 degrees more than normal. The maximum temperature reached 31.5 degrees Celsius, which is about 5 degrees more than the seasonal average.

Some parts of Jammu and Kashmir have also recorded higher than normal heat. The maximum temperature in Jammu reached 30 degrees Celsius, about 4.6 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 19.1 degrees Celsius, which is about 5.6 degrees more than normal.
