Delhi weather: Amidst the scorching heat across the country, the weather suddenly took a turn in Delhi-NCR on Thursday. There were dark clouds with strong winds and it also rained at many places, due to which people got relief from the heat. According to the Meteorological Department, the sky remained cloudy throughout the day and at some places an alert was issued for light rain, lightning and strong wind.

The people of Delhi, who have been facing the scorching heat and heat wave for the last few days, have got relief. Since Wednesday night, rains along with strong cold winds have started bringing down the mercury in many areas of Delhi-NCR, which has brought a lot of relief to the people. In such a situation, there was a change in the weather since morning, the weather became pleasant due to strong wind and cloud cover. Light drizzle brought relief to the people from the dust storm.
At the same time, at many places there was heavy rain and hailstorm along with strong dust storm in the evening. The mercury has fallen significantly due to hailstorm in Noida, Ghaziabad and Indira Puram. Along with this, the weather pattern has changed in many areas of Uttar Pradesh for the last two days, due to which people in UP have also got relief from the heat. Light rain occurred in many areas of Lucknow on Wednesday, while the weather remained changed since morning. People are getting relief from the heat due to drop in temperature in Lucknow.
