Luxury cruise in Delhi is going to be special for the public, know here what the facilities will be like.

Delhi News: Delhi is all set to launch a 40-seater luxury cruise on the Yamuna river. This initiative is part of the Riverfront Development and Recreation Project of Delhi Government. Today we will tell you its features as well as where and how it will be operated. This cruise will make a one-hour round trip on Yamuna river. It has been developed in the upper part of Wazirabad Barrage.

Where will it be operated from?

This service will run between Sonia Vihar to Jagatpur (North-East Delhi) on a route of about 6 to 7 kilometers long. The cruise will start from near Wazirabad area. Jetty has already been prepared in Sonia Vihar. This project is being developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.

What will be special in the cruise?

40 passengers will be able to travel at a time in this cruise. It has been claimed to provide an international level experience to the passengers. It will have comfortable seats, music and live entertainment. There will also be arrangements for food and drinks. Travelers will also be able to enjoy the beautiful views of Yamuna river. The government says that now the people of Delhi will be able to enjoy tourism like Goa in their own city.

What is the plan ahead?

The aim of the government is not to start just a cruise service. In the future, there is a plan to develop a complete entertainment area on the banks of the river. Water sports activities, entertainment facilities and a modern cruise terminal will be built in it. The terminal will have facilities like ticket counter and waiting area.

CM Rekha Gupta will inaugurate

Delhi Tourism Minister Kapil Mishra said that the cruise is almost ready and it is being brought from Mumbai to Delhi. After reaching Delhi, some final technical work will be completed, after which it will be formally inaugurated. This service is likely to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
