Delhi’s new stadium will be bigger than Arun Jaitley Stadium, will meet the cricket demand of 2 decades
New Delhi. Apart from Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, now the capital is going to get another International Cricket Stadium. Disclosing this plan, DDCA Chairman Rohan Jaitley said that the new stadium will have a capacity of about 70 thousand spectators (70kCapacity). Its purpose is to meet the increasing cricket demand and reduce the load on the existing Arun Jaitley Stadium.
70 thousand capacity infrastructure management
At present, Arun Jaitley Stadium is the only venue for international cricket in the country’s capital, which has a capacity of 41 thousand spectators. IPL International, Women’s Premier League and domestic matches are organized here throughout the year. In such a situation, DDCA decided to build a second stadium so that there could be convenience in man-management and distribution of games.
Speaking to the media, Rohan Jaitley said that this stadium will not only meet today’s needs, but will also be built keeping in mind the increasing cricket demand in the next two decades. Both the stadiums will run together and the arrangements for matches will be better by creating a healthy ecosystem.
Facilities Access Metro Commute
DDCA will also ensure that the new stadium is easily accessible to spectators. Metro and other commute facilities will be very close to the stadium, just like the ones around the Arun Jaitley Stadium. In this way, Delhi will soon get another great platform for international cricket with modern facilities and huge capacity.
