‘Deli Boys’ gets major update for season 2
Deli Boys is set to make its return with its second season on Hulu on May 28, bringing a new wave of recurring and guest stars with it.
The upcoming season will bring on The Boys in the Band actor Andrew Rannells and Only Murders in the Building actor Kumail Nanjiani in recurring roles.
Kumail, 47, will play Danyal, a defense attorney hired by Max Sugar and Andrew, 47, will portray Andrew Chadwater, a district attorney with political aspirations of becoming mayor.
Canadian YouTuber Lily Singh and Robin Thede will appear as guest stars.
Tan France is set to return as British crime mobster Zubair, alongside series regulars Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, Poorna Jagannathan, and Fred Armisen.
Back in August, comedian Fred Armisen was added to the main cast of Deli Boyswith his Season 2 debut confirmed alongside the show’s renewal.
In the fan favourite series, he will take on the role of Max Sugar, a renowned gambler who can read people as effortlessly.
The series, created by Abdullah Saeed and developed by Jenni Konner and Nora Silver, follows Asif Ali and Saagar Shaikh as Mir and Raj Dar, pampered Pakistani American brothers who lose everything and are forced to confront their Baba’s (Iqbal Theba) hidden criminal life while attempting to take over his underworld empire. Poorna Jagannathan stars as Naveeda “Lucky,” Baba’s trusted confidante and a formidable crime boss auntie.
