A woman from the city has made a serious allegation on social media, claiming that a delivery agent who had come to deliver a parcel forcibly entered her flat and later performed obscene acts in front of her. After the woman’s post came to light, Bengaluru Police took cognizance of the matter and said that they would start investigation.

Asked for entry by saying to use washroom-
According to the woman, the delivery agent had come to her house to deliver the parcel. During this he asked for permission to use the washroom. The woman clearly refused and said that she does not allow any unknown person to come inside her flat.

The woman says she also suggested to the agent that if the situation was urgent he could ask for help from other people living in the neighborhood. Despite this, the accused allegedly ignored her, took off his slippers and forcibly entered the house without permission.

Allegation of alleged obscene act inside the house-
When he came out of the washroom he showed his private parts in front of me. I was surprised to see this. I felt wronged, I felt humiliated and I felt completely unsafe in my own home. A woman had said ‘no’. The matter should have ended there. No one has the right to ignore her or forcefully enter her house.

The woman wrote in her post that after a woman says “no”, the matter should end there. No person has the right to enter his house against his will.

Kept the camera on for security, also left the door open-
The woman said that she was so scared during the incident that she switched on the camera of her mobile as a precaution and kept the main door open, so that in case of any emergency, she could immediately come out and seek help.

She said that she remained in fear and mental stress all the time due to the continuous incidents against women. This incident caused him deep mental trauma and made him feel insecure in his own home.

Police asked for complete information-
Bengaluru Police has taken cognizance of the matter after the woman’s social media post went viral. Police have requested the woman to share detailed information related to the incident, so that the allegations can be investigated and necessary legal action can be taken.

Police officials say that further action will be taken after investigating all the facts and evidence related to the complaint.
