Demand for freedom or call for death? Human rights organization’s big revelation was that there was massacre on the streets in Iran.
News India Live, Digital Desk: In any corner of the world, when people take to the streets for their rights, they have a dream of a better future in their eyes. But whatever happened in Iran, the report that has come out now is not only sad but also scary. A human rights group has claimed that the Iranian government killed about 4,000 people during the protests. Is there no value to human life? Think, 4,000 is not a small number. These were 4,000 people who had families, dreams and who probably just wanted to be heard. When the voices started rising in Iran with slogans like ‘Women, Life and Freedom’, perhaps no one thought that the government could go to such an extent to crush it. What is Iran hiding behind the curtain? It is often very difficult for news to come out from places where the Internet is banned and the media is silenced. But this report by human rights activists has cleared that fog. It is being told that many of these people were shot directly, while many died in custody. The most painful thing is that a large number of youth and children were among those killed. Is it a question of power or of compassion? When we read such news, only one question comes to our mind, is it right to shed the blood of our own countrymen to maintain any regime or ideology? Even though this is being discussed in the international world, it is difficult to imagine the fear and shadow under which the people inside Iran must be living. After this revelation, once again the eyes of the whole world have focused on Iran. People are demanding that there should be an impartial investigation, so that thousands of families who lost their loved ones without any crime can get justice. The reality is that history will never forget the traces of blood shed on these streets.
