Demand for justice for the innocent: Huge candle march in Jehanabad, demand for strict punishment to the culprits

The brutality and brutal murder of a 5 year old innocent child in a private school in the district has shocked the entire Bihar. The anger of the general public is now visible on the streets in protest against this heart-wrenching incident. On Wednesday evening, local people, social workers and leaders of various political parties took out a massive candle march to provide justice to the victim’s family.
This candle march started from Gurukul Hostel and passed through the major roads of the city and reached Kargil Chowk. During this, slogans like ‘Give justice’ and ‘Hang the culprits’ were heard throughout the city. People from all sections of the society participated in the march, carrying candles and placards demanding justice.
The protesters clearly said that their agitation will continue until the culprits of this heinous crime are given the harshest punishment. He demanded from the government that the matter should be investigated impartially and the culprits should be punished as soon as possible. In view of security, heavy police force remained deployed throughout the march, so that no untoward incident takes place.
RJD MP from Jehanabad Surendra Prasad Yadav, who was leading the candle march, launched a scathing attack on the state government. He said that such incidents raise serious questions on the law and order situation in Bihar. He alleged that the state government is failing to control crime.
The MP said that this inhuman incident that happened with a five-year old innocent child has put the society to shame. He demanded from the government that a high level investigation should be conducted in this matter and the culprits should be given death sentence soon. He also said that if action is not taken soon, this issue will be raised from the streets to the Parliament.
Local people also expressed their displeasure over the working style of the administration and said that concrete steps should be taken to stop such incidents. He demanded to provide financial assistance and security to the victim’s family.
This incident is a warning not only to Jehanabad but to the entire state that law and order needs to be further strengthened. People demand that justice should be ensured by speedy trial in this case, so that such incidents are not repeated in future.
