But meanwhile, Delhi State President of AIMIM Party, citing Sawan, has demanded from the government that liquor vends should be closed in Delhi during the fast.

Dr. Shoaib Jamai, Delhi State President of Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), said that we appeal to the Delhi government to close all the liquor shops inside the capital during the holy month of Ramzan. Besides, the sale and consumption of liquor in public places should also be banned.

Respect should be given even in our holy month: Shoaib

Shoaib Jamai said in his post on social media, “When you want respect by closing non-veg shops in the month of Sawan, then you should show respect in our holy month also.” In Delhi too, like many other states, non-veg shops are kept closed during the month of Sawan.
