The caption further reads, ‘Pilot Rajesh Meena was on leave between 22nd and 28th February but required additional leave. The All India Loco Running Staff Association (AILRSA) termed the behavior “shameful”, noting that railway employees work round the clock to ensure safe train operations but often face administrative indifference. Online reactions condemned the rejection and described it as “inhumane” treatment. Union leaders say such leave denials are not alone, with employees in the department having similar experiences. The issue was raised only after the intervention of union representatives, who approved the leave’.
