The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of cold and fog for many states. Apart from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, states like Assam and Meghalaya are also included.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog during night and morning hours in Assam and Meghalaya till December 27, while in Uttar Pradesh till December 29. This may affect roads and air travel, so people should be careful. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has said that till December 28, there may be cold day to severe cold day conditions in Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Meaning you will feel very cold even during the day. There is a possibility of cold day in Uttarakhand also till 27th December. People should wear warm clothes and be cautious while going out.

How will the weather be in Delhi?

The cold is now becoming more intense in the areas of Delhi and NCR. The minimum temperature is continuously falling, due to which it is very cold in the morning and night. According to IMD, the effect of cold will increase further in the coming days. Also, dense fog and poor air quality (AQI) can affect people’s health. There is a possibility of moderate to dense fog in Delhi-NCR till December 28. Visibility may be less in the morning, so be careful while driving. Talking about temperature, the maximum temperature will be around 21 to 22 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature can be between 6 to 9 degrees Celsius. Humidity level can remain quite high, i.e. 90 to 95 percent, which will make fog and smog more dense. Overall, there will be partially clear sky during the day, but cold and fog will disturb in the morning and evening.

Tomorrow’s weather in Uttar Pradesh

The weather in Uttar Pradesh is expected to be mostly dry on 27 and 28 December. But dense to very dense fog may occur at many places, for which an alert is issued. The weather may remain completely clear on 29, 30 and 31 December, but fog will still persist. Temperature fluctuations continue and the minimum temperature is falling again. Recently the lowest temperature was recorded at 4.6 degrees in Meerut and 4.8 degrees in Etawah. Tomorrow also cold winds will blow in many areas and fog will increase problems in the early morning. People must wear warm clothes while going out.

Weather tomorrow in Bihar

Cold wave continues to wreak havoc in Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very dense fog in many parts of the state and has advised people to be cautious. The minimum temperature fell below 10 degrees in many districts on Friday. Especially in districts like East Champaran, West Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Patna, Bhojpur, Buxar, Kaimur, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Arwal and Jehanabad, there may be dense to very dense fog.

Weather in Jharkhand tomorrow

There is a cold wave alert in 12 districts of Jharkhand. At many places the minimum temperature is going below 10 degrees. Gumla was the coldest place, where the temperature reached 2.8 degrees. IMD has issued yellow alert for Ranchi, Khunti, Hazaribagh, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Koderma, Gumla, Lohardaga, Chatra, Latehar, Palamu and Garhwa. The minimum temperature may drop further by 2-3 degrees in the next 48 hours.

The minimum temperature recorded in Srinagar was 0.2 degrees. Sonamarg was the coldest, where it was minus 4.7 degrees and Gulmarg was minus 4.5 degrees. IMD has predicted the weather to remain dry till December 28. However, there are signs of change before the New Year, there may be light snowfall in the highlands on December 29, and from December 30 to January 1, there is a possibility of light rain in the plains and snowfall in the higher areas.
