Red alert of dense fog in 10 big cities including Delhi-NCR, snowfall on mountains; Rain still continues in this state

The Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of dense fog in these 10 major cities of North India – Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Lucknow, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Agra, Tundla, Nainital and Shimla. Visibility will be very low in these cities from 6 am to 10 am. While driving, use low beam headlights and fog lights, do not speed at all and keep the following distance wide.

Now cold wave in Delhi even during the day

Bihar and Uttar Pradesh

In Bihar too, there is an alert of dense fog and cold wave in many districts including Patna, Bhagalpur, Purnia, Darbhanga, Gopalganj, Bhojpur, Kishanganj, Araria, Gaya. The wind will blow at a speed of 15-20 km/hour, which will further increase the cold. There may be a lot of problems in trains, flights and highways in UP, especially in the morning on 10, 11 and 12 December. The fog will be so dense that it will be difficult to see anything beyond 50 meters.

Snowfall in the mountains, rain in South India

Snowfall has started in the higher areas of Himachal and Uttarakhand. Due to this the cold is increasing further in the plains. In Madhya Pradesh, the lowest temperature of this season has reached 4 degrees. Rajasthan will also be partly cloudy at some places, but there will be no respite from the cold. On the other hand, North-East monsoon is fully active in Tamil Nadu. There will be light to moderate rain in many areas till December 12. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till December 10 as the waves are high in the Gulf of Mannar and Kumari Sagar.
