Denver’s Free Agency Wishlist Includes Nikola Jokic’s Longtime Serbian Teammate

The Denver Nuggets are reportedly considering a move for veteran guard Bogdan Bogdanovic when NBA free agency opens later this month. Multiple reports indicate that Denver views the Serbian sharpshooter as a potential addition to strengthen its bench and provide another reliable perimeter scorer around franchise star Nikola Jokic.

According to reports from Europe and the United States, the Nuggets have identified Bogdanovic as a priority target because of his long-standing chemistry with Jokic from their years together on the Serbian national team. Denver’s front office reportedly believes that the duo’s familiarity could translate into immediate on-court success.

The possibility of the move depends largely on the Los Angeles Clippers declining their team option on Bogdanovic, which would make the 33-year-old an unrestricted free agent. If that happens, Denver is expected to explore signing him once free agency officially begins.

Bogdanovic has built a reputation as one of the NBA’s most respected international guards. Over his career with the Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, and Clippers, he has averaged around 14 points per game while shooting better than 38 percent from three-point range.

The report has generated mixed reactions among Nuggets fans. Some believe Bogdanovic’s shooting, experience and connection with Jokic would make him a valuable addition, while others have raised concerns about his age and recent injury history. Community discussions have largely centered on whether he can still provide meaningful rotation minutes for a championship contender.

Denver is expected to be active in free agency as it looks to return to title contention. Adding a proven veteran such as Bogdanovic could provide the Nuggets with additional scoring depth and another trusted playmaker alongside Jokic.
