Bulldozer runs on tomb in Deoria, major action taken by administration after court order

UP News: The process of demolishing the tomb of Abdul Ghani Shah Baba located near the railway overbridge in Deoria city of Uttar Pradesh has been started. This tomb was built by illegal encroachment on government barren land. Following the order of the SDM court, the administration started the demolition process by deploying three bulldozers on the spot on Sunday.

Complete action taken as per court order

The administration says that the entire action is being taken as per the court order and within the ambit of the law. There was a dispute going on for a long time regarding the tomb. The hearing of this case was being held in the court of SDM and ASDM Sadar. The court clearly stated in its decision that the land on which the tomb is built is government wasteland and any kind of construction there is illegal.

That’s why this action was taken

A suit was filed by one of the parties in the SDM court regarding the tomb. During the hearing, on the basis of documents and revenue records, the court found that no legal permission was taken to build the shrine on the land. Apart from this, it also came to light that no construction map was passed. A separate case was also filed regarding the map not being passed, in which the Mazar Committee did not get any relief.

Action taken after court order

After the court’s decision, the district administration had directed the Mazar Committee itself to remove the illegal construction. The Mazar Committee agreed to this, but the construction was not removed within the stipulated time. After this, the administration started the demolition process following the court order.

Deoria MLA had also complained

BJP MLA from Deoria Sadar Shalabh Mani Tripathi had also given a written complaint to the Chief Minister regarding this entire matter. He had alleged that an illegal tomb has been built on government land and suspicious activities take place there. After the complaint, the administration took the matter seriously and took the legal process forward.

Heavy police force was present on the spot

The bulldozer operation started around 3:30 pm on Sunday afternoon. Administrative officers and heavy police force were deployed on the spot, so that there was no law and order problem. The administration says that in future too, action will be taken in all the cases as per the instructions of the court.
