Prayagraj: Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, who came to conduct a surprise inspection of the preparations for Magh Mela, expressed his displeasure over the negativity of the administration and reprimanded DM Manish Kumar Verma.

The Deputy CM asked the DM to leave the work of making roti on the stove in the camp of Santosh Das alias Satua Baba and also pay attention to those saints who have not yet got proper land and facilities in the fair area.

This statement of the Deputy CM was in the context of the viral video of Santosh Das alias Satua Baba cooking roti on the stove in the camp, which was widely discussed on social media.

Let us tell you that, while claiming to organize Magh Mela as a mini Kumbh, Maurya said that the government is making such arrangements that the Kalpavasis coming here get an opportunity to perform sadhana without any hassle for a month. The Deputy CM appealed to the devotees that if they cannot do Kalpavas for a month then at least do Alpavas.

Let us tell you that, while discussing the budget of Magh Mela, Deputy CM said that during the reign of Akhilesh Yadav, a budget of Rs 30 crore was approved for Magh Mela, whereas at present this budget has been increased three times to Rs 100 crore. The Deputy CM assured that all necessary facilities will be provided to the devotees and saints coming to the fair area, so that they do not have to face any problem.

The Deputy CM assured of elaborate arrangements in the Magh Mela and said that all necessary preparations are being made by the administration keeping in mind the security and facilities in the fair area.
