RCB in top-2

This match was also important for RCB because the team needed to reach only 166 runs to remain in the top-2. The team has crossed this figure, which will give it a big advantage in the playoffs. The teams finishing in the top-2 get two chances to reach the finals. Even if the team loses Qualifier-1, it still has the opportunity to reach the finals by winning Qualifier-2. In such a situation, Bengaluru has got relief despite the defeat.

On the other hand, despite the win, Hyderabad did not gain much in the points table and the team remained at the third position. Now to reach the finals he will have to win both the Eliminator and then Qualifier-2 matches. In this format of playoff, every match is do or die for the third and fourth placed teams.
