Saif Ali Khan and his family are currently facing a challenging time. The actor was allegedly attacked by an intruder at his residence in Mumbai in the early hours of January 16. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. The actor is out of danger as reported by doctors. The attacker is in the custody of Mumbai Police and further investigation is underway.
Saif Ali Khan lives in one of the most posh areas of Mumbai. The actor’s over 6,500 sq ft Bandra apartment, where he was allegedly attacked by a robber, is located in a building named Satguru Sharan. The actor purchased the apartment in April 2012 for Rs 23.50 crore from Satguru Builders, a real estate developers, according to property index-2 documents accessed by IndexTap.com
The luxury apartment is spread across four floors, with five bedrooms, a gym, a music room, and six terrace balconies. The source also revealed that Saif and Kareena’s house also has a lavish terrace and a swimming pool, which took around four years to renovate.
Before moving into the apartment, the couple along with their two kids resided in the Fortune Heights apartment complex in Bandra. According to reports, the luxurious four-stored property, was valued at Rs 48 crore in 2013. Moreover, in 2015, the actor rented out two apartments measuring 2,000 sq ft on the 12th and 13th floor of a building named Hicons Residency in Mumbai’s Bandra, with a monthly pay rent for Rs 3.20 lakh. In April 2016, Saif purchased an apartment in Fortune Heights in Mumbai’s Bandra for Rs 7 crore, according to a report by Zapkey.com
Born into the Pataudi family, Saif Ali Khan is the son of actress Sharmila Tagore and cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. His ancestral property, know as the Pataudi Palace is valued at Rs 800 crore. According to a report in The Economic Times, Khan’s net worth is $150 million, or over ₹ $1200 crore.
