Devara: Part 1 pre-release event in Hyderabad gets called off; fans goes agitated, barricades broken

One of the most eagerly awaited action-drama movies, Devara: Part 1, has moviegoers anxious. The producers had a pre-release celebration in Hyderabad on Sunday, September 22, five days ahead of the film’s September 27 release, in response to the enthusiastic reception from the public. However, the event had to be canceled owing to unanticipated events. The next film’s crew has now notified fans of this in an official statement.

The Devira: Part 1 crew declared in an official announcement that the pre-release event in Hyderabad will not be taking place. They said, “We were eagerly waiting for this day as we’ve worked hard on this film for years and wanted to celebrate it on a grand scale especially since it’s the first solo release of our beloved Man of Masses NTR after 6 years. However, we faced many challenges. Pre Release Event was scheduled very close to Ganesh Nimarjanam and large scale events like this typically require at least a week of preparation. Additionally, heavy rains over the past few days created many challenges. Even though it didn’t rain today conditions wouldn’t have been favorable for an outdoor event to happen even if we had planned it.”

The statement added, “The massive turnout of fans despite our best efforts became uncontrollable as barricades were broken due to the overwhelming crowd. For the safety of everyone, we had to make the tough decision to call off the event. We understand that many of you traveled from different parts of the country to celebrate and see your hero. We hope everyone is safe and has returned home safely. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience and are truly sorry for the situation. Thank you for your understanding and support. Team Devara.”

Koratala Siva is the director of the epic action saga for the unknown. Jr. NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and more actors are in the ensemble cast. The film will be released in theaters on September 27, 2024.
