Developed Uttar Pradesh @2047: 6 trillion dollar strategy will be made on 98 lakh suggestions, CM Yogi gave action plan

Lucknow, Amrit Vitar: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given clear instructions regarding the action plan of ‘Developed Uttar Pradesh @2047’ that it should be implemented on the ground with a solid framework. In the high-level review meeting held on Tuesday, he said that this is not just a vision document but a roadmap for the economic, social and structural transformation of the state.

The Chief Minister said that more than 98 lakh suggestions have been received from across the state for this vision, which will be integrated with the views of experts and stakeholders and a detailed sector-wise action plan will be released soon. He directed that by dividing it into short-term, medium-term and long-term goals, clear targets for 2030, 2036 and 2047 should be set. He said that all departments should decide their responsibilities clearly and work on the basis of quarterly and annual targets. Besides, a result-oriented action plan should be made by establishing coordination between the departments, so that the pace of development can be accelerated and its impact can be seen at the ground level.

While giving instructions to prepare ‘District Vision 2047’ at the district level, the Chief Minister said that the schemes should be implemented as per local resources and needs. Emphasis was also laid on developing a pipeline of major projects and developing real-time dashboards for their regular monitoring. He said that the structure of developed Uttar Pradesh will be based on three major pillars of ‘Economics, People Power and Vitality’. Under this, agriculture, industry, service sector, infrastructure and good governance will be taken forward in an integrated manner.

It was told in the meeting that the state has set a target of becoming a 6 trillion dollar economy by 2047, while the target has been set to become a 1 trillion dollar economy by 2030 and 2 trillion dollar economy by 2036. To achieve this target, an annual growth rate of about 16 percent will be required. At present the economy of the state is at the level of about 356 billion dollars. Emphasis was laid on promoting smart farming, value chain model and export-oriented production for the agriculture sector. In the services sector, IT, ITES, Artificial Intelligence and tourism were said to be the main engines of growth.

The Chief Minister said that investment and employment opportunities will be increased by further strengthening connectivity through expressways, airports and logistics networks. He finally said that ‘Develop Uttar Pradesh @2047’ is a campaign of comprehensive transformation, in which equal importance will be given to social justice and improvement in quality of life along with economic development.
