During the meeting, CM Fadnavis praised the performance of the Indian team and said that India has created history by winning the T20 World Cup for the second consecutive time. He especially praised the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav and the explosive batting and bowling of Shivam Dubey. Fadnavis said, ‘These boys of Mumbai have made not only Maharashtra but the entire country proud. His hard work and sportsmanship have inspired crores of youth.”

Congratulatory motion passed in the assembly

Earlier, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had also introduced a congratulatory motion in the state assembly, which was passed unanimously. He described this victory as a ‘confluence of team spirit, discipline and self-confidence.’ told. During this, Fadnavis congratulated coach Gautam Gambhir and the entire team. It is noteworthy that BCCI has also announced a cash prize of Rs 131 crore for this historic success of the team.

Great performance by Suryakumar and Dubey

He scored 242 runs in 9 matches, which included his match-winning innings against America. At the same time, Shivam Dubey played the role of finisher very well and along with scoring 235 runs at a strike rate of 169.06, he also took wickets on important occasions. India won the T20 World Cup title for the third time (2007, 2024, 2026) by defeating New Zealand by a huge margin of 96 runs in the final.
