Devendra Fadnavis has been unanimously elected leader of the Maharashtra BJP legislature party, paving the way for his return as Chief Minister. The decision was taken during an important meeting held at Maharashtra Vidhan Bhavan, where party members expressed their support towards Fadnavis, recognizing his leadership abilities and experience.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place at Azad Maidan in Mumbai and is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, around 2,000 VVIPs and around 40,000 supporters. Special arrangements have been made for the stay of both supporters and dignitaries, the event will be telecast live across the state.

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule thanked the voters heartily for the remarkable success of the Mahayuti alliance in the recently held state assembly elections. He credited this historic victory to the leadership of former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Bawankule said- “We have fought historic elections under the guidance of Devendra Fadnavis, in which Mahayuti has got a strong mandate. Our commitment is to establish Maharashtra as the top state in the country with the support of PM Modi.”

Mumbai: Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, “We all fought a historic election under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis and we won a historic mandate for the Mahayuti. We are committed to taking Maharashtra to the number one position with the help of PM Modi .

The allocation of cabinet posts is currently under discussion among the coalition partners. The BJP is likely to retain key departments like Home and Revenue, while the Shiv Sena is expected to get around 12 ministries, including urban development. The NCP is expected to get 9-10 ministries, potentially including finance and the deputy chairman's role.

Fadnavis's election as BJP legislature party leader was confirmed during a meeting held earlier today. His return marks his third term as Chief Minister, reflecting his significant influence within the party and the state.

As preparations for the ceremony continue, it is clear that this new government aims to establish a stable administration in Maharashtra after the recent political turmoil.
