Prayagraj: Even before the start of Mahakumbh, the Yogi government has started making arrangements at the ground level to ensure that there is no shortage in the care of crores of devotees coming here. In this sequence, the people of Prayagraj are being encouraged to start paying guest facility in their houses, so that the devotees can get a home like environment. It has also started. A large number of local people are registering themselves through the Tourism Department and taking training in good behaviour, best cleaning and hospitality. To connect more and more people with this system, toll free number and WhatsApp number have also been issued. With this arrangement, not only will the devotees get better facilities as paying guests instead of expensive hotels, but the local people will also get employment and their income will increase.

Target of 2000 paying guest registration

On the instructions of the Yogi government, no stone is being left unturned to make the world's largest cultural gathering unforgettable. Here, hospitality to the devotees coming from all over the country and abroad is the priority of the government. As per the intention of CM Yogi, an initiative is being taken to make the local people as partners along with the local administration. At present, the Tourism Department has set a target of starting paying guest facility in 2000 houses. Devotees get accommodation and food facilities in the paying guest facility. Its number can be increased further as per need.

Registration will be done for just Rs 50

Prayagraj Regional Tourism Officer Aparajita Singh said that the process of joining this scheme is quite easy. Local people who have their own houses can join it and become participants in this great cultural event. For this, only a challan form of Rs 50 will have to be filled and submitted from the Regional Tourism Office. In this, photographs of the rooms and receipt of tax paid to the Municipal Corporation will have to be attached. After which a normal process of verification will have to be completed by the Tourism Department. After verification, a license will be issued by the Tourism Department, after which the landlord will be able to provide paying guest facility. The list of houses for which licenses will be issued for the convenience of paying guests will also be displayed on the website and app of the fair administration. From there also tourists and devotees will be able to approach the paying guest facility.

License will be valid for 3 years

According to the Regional Tourism Officer, the license given after verification will be valid for 3 years. Under this, there is a plan to register at least two and maximum five rooms. Special training is also being given by the Tourism Department to those who get the license. They are being taught the smallest things to behave well with the devotees and tourists and to take care of their convenience in every way. This includes marketing along with information, problem solving, better service, taking care of interior decoration and maintenance. Apart from this, along with better arrangements for security and food, guidance is also being given on taking special care of hygiene.

no fees, no taxes

The most special thing about this scheme is that there is no obligation to pay any kind of annual fee or tax. You will not have to worry about hotel norms and NOC. In this, license can be obtained only by submitting land documents and affidavit. The rent for providing the facility will also be decided by the landlord, there will be no interference from the Tourism Department in this. Regional Tourism Officer said that till now 50 houses have been registered. Many files are in process.
