Why were the rules changed?

At that time the government had directed the airline to refund the money within the stipulated time.

What is the 48 hour ‘look-in’ facility?

Under the new rules, passengers will have the option of ‘look-in’ till 48 hours after booking the ticket. During this period, passengers can cancel or change their tickets without any extra charge. However, if the fare for the new flight is higher, they will have to pay the normal fare. This facility will not be applicable on tickets booked less than 7 days from the date of booking for domestic flights, less than 15 days for international flights and tickets booked directly from the airline’s website. If the ticket is changed or canceled after 48 hours, normal cancellation fees will be charged.
