DGCA sent summons to top officials of IndiGo, summoned CEO-COO

Now amidst the flight crisis, DGCA has sent summons to top officials of IndiGo. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has summoned the CEO and COO of the airline. The airline representatives will have to respond at 11 am on Tuesday. DGCA will reduce additional routes of Indigo.

According to sources, DGCA has constituted a four-member committee. This committee will interrogate the top officials of Indigo Airlines on Tuesday at 11 am. The committee will question these officials about about 3900 flights canceled in the last six days. This committee of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation is examining crew planning, operational preparation and new flight duty rules.

In fact, even today, on the 7th day, Indigo’s crisis is not over. More than 450 flights were again canceled due to operational problems. This crisis, which started on December 2, has troubled thousands of passengers. However, Indigo has apologized and said that things will become normal by December 10. DGCA has also issued a notice to the CEO and COO of IndiGo.

DGCA had given 24 hours more time
Yesterday i.e. Sunday, DGCA had given 24 hours more time to IndiGo to respond to the show-cause notice. DGCA warned that no more time will be given after this. Unilateral action will be taken if response is not given within stipulated time. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation said that we are constantly monitoring the situation and are strict regarding the safety of passengers and following the rules.
Rs 610 crore refunded to passengers so far
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu held a meeting with stakeholders on Sunday. During this, he had said that after six days of severe chaos, now things are slowly getting back on track. It was told by the Civil Aviation Ministry that till now IndiGo has processed a total refund of Rs 610 crore to the passengers for canceled or highly delayed flights.
