Dhaka bomb blast: One youth dead, many serious…what happened so far
Dhaka: There has been a bomb blast in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The news of one person being killed in this blast has come to light. This blast took place in Mogabazar, Dhaka. Some miscreants threw a bomb, in this incident a boy died. Many people have been seriously injured. The name of the killed person is Siam. The blast took place under the flyover in front of the Moghabazar Freedom Fighters Memorial on the evening of 24 December. This major incident happened a day before the return of BNP’s Tariq Rahman to Bangladesh.
Bomb thrown from over flyover
Eyewitnesses say that a bomb was thrown from the flyover in the evening. Siam was seriously injured when the bomb exploded. He was later seen lying there in a pool of blood. He died within some time. The relatives of the deceased told that Siam used to work in a private factory. He was living in the same area at the time of the incident.
The miscreants immediately ran away after throwing the bomb.
Let us tell you that initially his identity could not be confirmed, but later his family members recognized him. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police immediately reached the spot and cordoned off the area. This incident spread panic in the area. However, the miscreants immediately fled after throwing the bomb.
The reason for the bomb blast is not clear yet
Masud Alam, Deputy Police Commissioner of Ramna Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), said that initially it is believed that the bomb was thrown from above the flyover. The reason for the bomb blast has not been clear yet. The case is being investigated.
