Madhya Pradesh A shocking incident that happened during the board examination in Dhar district has shaken the entire area. A minor student of class 10 gave birth to a child in the washroom of a government school. The seriousness of the matter increased further when the student claimed during police interrogation that she was being subjected to alleged sexual harassment by a young man she knew for several months.

During the medical examination and statement recording process which took place in the presence of her parents on Thursday, the student gave complete information. Police have registered the case and the search for the accused has been intensified.

How was your meeting with the accused?

According to the FIR, the student met the accused youth during a Garba festival in the year 2024. After this the conversation started between the two. The student told that she used to use her father’s mobile phone to talk to the young man. She said that in May 2025, the accused contacted her again and proposed marriage. When the student refused to marry him, he allegedly took her to his rented house and forcibly had physical relations with her.

Why didn’t the student tell her family?

The student told the police that the accused had threatened her with dire consequences if she disclosed the incident. According to the complaint, he kept in touch by calling continuously and called her to his room several times and allegedly had physical relations again. Due to fear and stigma, the student did not tell anything to her family and also kept her pregnancy hidden.

How did the student reach the hospital?

During the board exam, the student suddenly had severe stomach pain. She took permission to go out of the examination room, but did not return for a long time. When the school staff checked the washroom, they found that the student had given birth to a child there. He was immediately taken to the government hospital.

Doctors at the hospital said that the condition of both the student and the newborn baby is stable and they have been kept under medical observation. DSP Umakant Chaudhary said that the case has been registered and investigation is going on. Police is investigating all aspects.
