In a special interview given to Hindustan Times, Hema Malini said that Dharmendra receiving this award is a very emotional moment for her family. He told that his elder daughter Esha Deol also wanted to attend the function, but due to some reasons she could not come. However, younger daughter Ahana Deol will definitely be present at the function. Hema Malini further said, ‘Both Sunny and Bobby are fully aware of this. We are all very happy. This is a very big and proud moment for our entire family.

Dharmendra is called the ‘Heman’ of Hindi cinema. In his long career, he played action, romance and comedy brilliantly and created an indelible place in the hearts of the audience.
