Dharmendra Pradhan Resigns as Education Minister Amid NEET Paper Leak Student Protests

Dharmendra Pradhan Resignation: The biggest news of the moment has come to light amid protests by the CJP (Cockroach Janata Party). Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned. He has sent his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is noteworthy that CJP was protesting to demand Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation in the NEET paper leak case.
Dharmendra Pradhan announced this on social media and also gave the reason for his resignation.

In his letter, he wrote that for more than four decades, he has been dedicated to students, teachers and education reform. He has always believed that a strong, inclusive, and visionary education system is the cornerstone of any nation’s development.

Dharmendra Pradhan said, “The government took action as soon as complaints of irregularities came to light in the NEET-UG examination held on May 3, 2026. The investigation of the matter was handed over to the CBI; it was decided to cancel the examination and conduct it again, and it was announced that NEET would be conducted in a completely computer-based mode from next year.”

On his resignation, Dharmendra Pradhan said that the events of the last 10 days have left him extremely distressed. He clarified that this is not a matter of his personal honor but a question of the future of the country’s youth. He said that he does not want the future of the students to get entangled in legal disputes and political conflicts, and this will affect their studies. Therefore, he decided to step down.

At the end of the letter, Dharmendra Pradhan expressed gratitude to the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his colleagues in the Council of Ministers, officials and employees of the Education Ministry. He said that in future also in public life, he will continue to work with full dedication to fulfill the aspirations of Mother India, the people of Odisha and the youth of the country.
