Dhaula Kuan BMW accident: Police made a big revelation in the charge sheet, Navjot might have been saved if he had got timely treatment.

Police has filed a charge sheet in the BMW road accident that took place near Dhaula Kuan in Delhi in September. A major disclosure has been made in the 400 page charge sheet filed in Patiala House Court. Finance Ministry Deputy Secretary Navjot Singh (52) died in this horrific accident. Police claim that Navjot remained alive for at least 15 minutes after the accident, and if medical help had been provided on time, his life could have been saved.

Heavy collision with a speeding BMW

This accident happened near Dhaula Kuan at around 1:30 pm on September 14. Gurugram resident Gaganpreet Makkar’s BMW collided with a metro pillar at high speed, overturned and also collided with Navjot Singh’s motorcycle. Navjot and his wife were seriously injured in this accident. Navjot was later taken to Venkateshwara Hospital, where he died.

BMW’s speed report revealed that the car was traveling at a speed of 100-110 kmph on the Ring Road, where the limit is 50 kmph. The charge sheet states that it was impossible to control the vehicle at such high speed and the force of the collision was so tremendous that even the robust BMW was badly damaged.

Postmortem made shocking revelations

Quoting the postmortem report in the charge sheet, it has been written that Navjot Singh remained alive for at least 15 minutes after the accident. This information first answers the questions raised in the court while the accused was getting bail. At that time the court was waiting for the postmortem report.

Why did you leave the nearby hospital and take it 20 km away?

Police allege that Gaganpreet Makkar deliberately delayed the treatment of Navjot Singh and his injured wife. Big hospitals like Delhi Cantt Hospital and AIIMS Trauma Center were just 10-15 minutes away from the accident site. But Makkar decided to take him to Nulife Hospital in GTB Nagar, 20 km away, which took 23 minutes.

NuLife Hospital is a small, two-storey nursing home with limited emergency facilities. Police suspect that this hospital is connected to distant relatives of Gaganpreet Makkar. Investigation also revealed that the accused’s father Javinder Singh is the director of companies related to Nulife. It has been said in the charge sheet that an attempt was made to collect evidence of manipulation of medical documents. Furthermore, Gaganpreet got admitted to the ICU despite minor injuries, so as to mislead the investigation.

Even the help of ambulance was rejected

The ambulance driver and paramedic who reached the spot immediately after the accident offered assistance, but the accused refused. The police have recorded his statement and clarified that there is no blame on the ambulance staff. According to the investigation, the help was deliberately withheld.
