Dhenkanal, Oct 16: In a heartwarming display of communal harmony, the Hindu and Muslim communities in Dhenkanal have come together to celebrate 74 years celebration of Maa Lakshmi Puja. The festivity highlights the strong bonds of brotherhood, transcending religious differences.

The renowned celebration by Sri Sri Mahalaxmi Puja committee in Kanjan Market, is set to showcase a special platinum jubilee next year, marking a significant milestone in their traditions. This year’s event features elaborate preparations, with a focus on honoring the goddess with utmost reverence.

Artisans from the village of Dadhisingh created beautiful idols for the occasion, with special attention to idols. The installation will include two additional idols on either side of the main figure, adorned with modern lighting for a stunning visual effect.

Arrangements have been made to serve a special prasad to around 2,000 devotees during the celebrations. One of the highlights of this establishment is the annual Bhasani Festival, which draws unique attractions each year. Last year’s performance by artists from Goa captivated audiences and is expected to be rivaled by special surprises planned for this year’s festivities.

The organizing committee has announced that there will also be live music and traditional dance performances from outside the state, further enriching the cultural tapestry of the event. The sense of unity and mutual respect among the communities serves as a powerful reminder of the strength found in diversity.
