Dhoni’s biopic changed his life… What is the story of this ‘bawali’ Pakistani spinner?

These days, there is a debate going on everywhere in the cricket world on Usman Tariq. The reason behind this is the strange bowling action of this Pakistani spinner. Usman stops near the crease and bowls in the side arm slingshot style, due to which there is an uproar. From fans to former cricketers have raised questions on his action on the social media platform ‘X’.

At first glance, Usman’s bowling action may seem suspicious to anyone, but he has passed the test twice. A complaint was made about Usman’s bowling action during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) but nothing suspicious was found. Usman says that his action is in accordance with ICC rules and it has been approved in the biomechanical test.

On the questions being raised on his action, Usman has said that he has a double joint in his elbow, due to which it seems that he bends the elbow while bowling the ball but this is due to his physical structure. He bowls within the limits of 15 degrees elbow flexion. Amidst the controversy surrounding Usman, let us tell you the story of his becoming a cricketer, which is no less than the script of a film.

Usman once used to cut vegetables in the hotel

Usman left his dream of becoming a cricketer and went to Afghanistan in search of a job. After not getting work there, he returned to Pakistan. He got a job cutting vegetables in a hotel in Islamabad. Usman earned his living by doing this work for a few days. Then with the help of one of his relatives he reached Dubai and started working there. Meanwhile, he was contacted by PSL franchise Peshawar Zalmi and asked to join them. But Usman refused. He did this because he did not want to leave his job.

His family’s expenses were covered through this job. In such a situation, he refused to turn to cricket again. He continued working in Dubai. Everything was going well, when he saw the film ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ based on the life of great Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The scene in this movie in which Dhoni leaves his job as a ticket collector and boards a train to become a cricketer, impressed Usman so much that he decided to give cricket one more chance.
