Dhruv Jurel has played 4 matches in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. Which includes 2 half-centuries and 1 century. Jurel has played aggressively during this period. About which he has now spoken openly. Speaking to Times of India, Jurel said, ‘I don’t set too many goals for myself. I focus on the process. Even before the Vijay Hazare Trophy, when I got some time, I used to bat for 4-5 hours and create scenarios in my mind as to what I could do. Whatever may be the result and selection, no one can take away my hard work from me. That’s why I work hard. This has taken me here and will take me further also.

Jurel is in competition with Rishabh Pant

When Team India’s ODI squad is announced against New Zealand, only one of Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel will be able to get a place in it. It is difficult to drop Yashasvi Jaiswal from the team. One such wicketkeeper batsman can be dropped. The team’s first choice in ODI is KL Rahul. Dhruv Jurel is currently seen ahead as the second wicketkeeper batsman. Captain Shubman Gill may be included in the squad in place of Rishabh Pant.
