Dhruv Rathee says trolls are helping grow his channel after
Renowned Indian YouTuber and content creator Dhruv Rathee has said that those trolling him will have to “pay tax” and help increase subscribers on his channel. In a video message shared on social media platform X, he stated that blind followers associated with the propaganda film “Dhurandhar” have gone completely out of control.
Dhruv Rathee said that after he exposed the reality of Dhurandhar, these people started targeting him and are collectively posting negative comments against him. He added that they are also urging others to go and dislike his video. The YouTuber said, “I had already said that Modi supporters would be enraged.”
He further stated that despite such a large number of trolls from IT cells coming after him, the likes on his video are far more than the dislikes, with 90 percent likes and only 10 percent dislikes. Dhruv Rathee also shared data from his YouTube Studio showing the number of likes and dislikes on his video. According to him, his video has received more than 500,000 likes, while there are around 50,000 dislikes.
He said that the interesting thing is that when 10 percent of people collectively create noise, they try to prove that a large number of people are opposing the video. Celebrities and influencers who are unaware of this tactic begin to think something unusual is happening and assume their own audience is abusing them. Out of fear, they sometimes delete their posts or videos. Dhruv Rathee said that even if the film becomes a big hit, people have now learned the truth, and the film’s director Aditya Dhar has also been recognised for the kind of work he does.
It is worth mentioning that Dhruv Rathee had earlier exposed the reality of the controversial Bollywood film Dhurandhar, calling it a complete propaganda film. Following this, he became the target of trolling by BJP-backed IT cells in large numbers.
A day earlier, addressing his critics, the YouTuber said that he wanted to tell all blind followers and social media cell trolls to help his channel grow as quickly as possible. He added that if they want to comment, they will first have to subscribe to his channel.
