Ranveer Singh starrer breaks many records, eyes Rs 600 crore – Obnews

Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller **Dhurandhar**, which was released on December 5, 2025, has emerged as a huge box office success. In this Ranveer Singh along with Akshay Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun in an undercover role.

The film is inspired by true espionage incidents and features an Indian agent penetrating the underworld of Karachi to dismantle a terrorist network.

As of 15 December (Day 11), **Dhurandhar** has grossed approximately **₹594.5 crore** worldwide (as per Bollywood Hungama), of which the net collection in India stood at approximately ₹396 crore. It recorded strong growth in its second week, including the highest second weekend for any Hindi film and a stronger Monday collection than its first weekend.

Key records include:

– Ranveer Singh’s biggest opener (₹28-30 crore on first day)
– Highest grossing film of his career
– Aditya Dhar’s biggest hit (surpasses Uri)
– One of the top Hindi films of 2025, after films like *Chhaava* and regional blockbusters

Critics praised the stellar performances from the cast (especially Khanna and Singh), strong action, and technical work, although some noted its long runtime.

With no major competition until later releases, the film is set to create more new records.

According to reports, after its theatrical release, it will have its OTT premiere on Netflix in late January 2026.
