Aditya Dhar’s spy action thriller **Dhurandhar**, starring **Ranveer Singh** in the lead role, has crossed **₹1000 crore** worldwide gross collection in just 21-22 days, becoming **Highest Grossing Indian Film of 2025** and one of the highest grossing films of all time. By the end of December 2025, its collection stood at around **₹1078-1081 crore** worldwide (India net ~₹700 crore), surpassing Prabhas’s *Kalki 2898 AD* (₹1040 crore) and SRK’s *Pathan* (₹1055 crore) and becoming the **7th-9th** highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
Released on December 5, 2025, the Hindi-only, A-rated film—despite restrictions—was successful due to good word-of-mouth, repeat viewings, and popularity overseas. This is Ranveer’s first film to earn ₹1000 crore and the biggest milestone in his career.
Story and cast
Ranveer plays undercover Indian agent Hamza Ali Mazari (aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi), who, inspired by the IC-814 hijack and the Parliament attack, infiltrates Karachi’s criminal underworld and ISI networks. The cast includes **Akshay Khanna** (Villain Rehman Dacoit), **Sanjay Dutt**, **Arjun Rampal**, **R. Madhavan**, **Sara Arjun** (female lead) and Rakesh Bedi.
The film ends on a suspenseful note, marking the beginning of a franchise.
