‘Dhurandhar 2’ box office collection: Close to ₹1400 crore in 12 days, will Baahubali 2 be able to surpass Pushpa 2?

These days only one name is in discussion for cinema lovers – ‘Dhurandhar 2’. Since its release, this film has created such a storm at the box office that new records are being made every day. Although there was a slight decline in its pace on the second Monday, the film is still performing well in terms of earnings.

This espionage thriller starring Ranveer Singh created history on the very first day of its release. The film earned around Rs 240 crore worldwide on the opening day, in which paid previews also had a major contribution. In the very first week the film crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark, which is a big achievement in itself. It became one of the very few films to achieve this milestone so quickly.

The grip remained intact in the second weekend also

The film maintained its strong hold in the second weekend also. More than Rs 170 crore was earned at the domestic box office during this period, which is more than the opening weekend of many films. After this performance, the total domestic collection of the film rapidly increased to beyond Rs 800 crore and it became a new record for Bollywood.

There was a decline on Monday, but earnings continued

Like every film, the collection of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ also saw a decline on the second Monday. Despite this, the film earned around Rs 25 crore that day too, which shows that its hold is still strong. Till now the film has made a net collection of approximately Rs 872 crore in the domestic market.

Tremendous success even in foreign countries

The film has received excellent response not only in India but also abroad. After good earnings in the initial days, the film again gained momentum in the second weekend. So far the film has earned around $38 million in foreign countries. The special thing is that it has also made a big record in North America and has left behind many old hit films.

Global collection close to 1400 crores

If we talk about the total earning, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has touched the figure of around Rs 1390 crore worldwide in 12 days. Now this film is rapidly rising in the list of highest grossing films of Indian cinema. Although it still has a long way to go to break the records of some big films, but considering its pace the expectations have increased a lot.

Interestingly, the film was not released in Gulf countries, yet it has earned well abroad. It is clear from this that the popularity of the film is very strong even at the global level.

Star cast and direction become strength

Apart from Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and other actors are seen in the film.
