Dhurandhar 2 Box Office Collection: ‘Gadar 2’ flew in the storm of Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller, now ‘Chhawa’ and waiting for Rs 1000 crore…

Mumbai: Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has created a stir at the box office as soon as it was released on the occasion of Eid. This espionage action thriller directed by Aditya Dhar has broken many big records in just four days. The film has not only given the biggest opening of Ranveer’s career, but has also easily crossed the Rs 600 crore mark globally, leaving behind many blockbusters of Indian cinema.

The film started with paid previews, where a net collection of Rs 43 crore came on Wednesday. After this, the domestic net collection crossed 454 crores with the earning of 102.55 crores on Thursday (Opening Day), 80.72 crores on Friday, 113 crores on Saturday and an estimated 114 crores+ on Sunday. The global gross is now at Rs 691 crore+, and experts say it will touch Rs 700 crore soon.

Major records broken

– Biggest opening of Hindi cinema: Hindi version earned 99.10 crores on the first day, which is more than ‘Pushpa 2’ (70.30 crores).

– Fastest Rs 500 crore club entry: Crosses Rs 500 crore globally in just three days.

– Bollywood’s biggest global opening: around Rs 240 crore gross on the first day, including $9.5 million contribution from overseas.

– New record in advance booking: Tickets worth 38.77 crores were sold before release, leaving behind ‘Jawaan’, ‘Animal’ and ‘Baahubali 2’.

– Beating many blockbusters in the first weekend: Challenged the lifetime gross of films like ‘Gadar 2’ (692 crores), ‘Jailer’ (607 crores), ‘Salaar’ (615 crores) in the initial days itself.

Now the film’s eyes are set on ‘PK’ (750 crores), ‘Stree 2’ (857 crores) and Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’ (808 crores). Looking at the current pace, it can enter the Rs 1000 crore club soon. It also continues to perform strongly overseas, including in North America, where it is opening new doors for Bollywood.

It is proving to be the biggest hit of the career for Ranveer Singh and Aditya Dhar, which is further strengthening the confidence of the audience towards the big budget sequel. Despite challenges such as technical difficulties, the film has shown great consistency.
