‘Dhurandhar 2’ goes crazy all over the world, records of Prabhas and Hrithik Roshan destroyed in 48 hours

Mumbai: ‘‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has shaken the box office after its release. When this film opened with more than Rs 100 crore in India on the first day, many people expected that Aditya Dhar’s film would slow down a bit on Friday. But, the film has captured the box office due to which it earned a bang on the second day on Friday and in India it collected Rs 200 crores within 48 hours. Dhurandhar 2 Worldwide Box Office Update

The film ‘Dhurandhar 2’, directed by Aditya Dhar, was released worldwide on Thursday, March 19. Even overseas, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ had a stellar opening. In India, the film’s release received significant benefit from the Ugadi and Gudi Padwa holidays in many parts of the country. But despite it not being profitable overseas, the film managed to earn approximately $7 million (including paid previews). On Friday, the spy thriller added another $5 million to its tally. With this, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has earned a total of Rs 370 crore worldwide in two days, and by Saturday it is expected to cross the Rs 500 crore mark.

Beats the lifetime collections of War 2 and Adipurush.

In two days, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has earned Rs 370 crore worldwide. This is more than the total earnings (lifetime collection) of many recently released pan-India films. With this, it has defeated the worldwide lifetime collection of Prabhas’s ‘Adipurush’ (350 crores) and Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s ‘War 2’ (338 crores).

Paid previews of the film also took place on Wednesday, which was the biggest preview ever in the history of Indian cinema. The film made a net collection of Rs 145 crore on its opening day. On Friday, this figure saw a massive increase of ₹81 crore, taking the film’s domestic collection to ₹226 crore nett (₹269 crore gross) in just two days. Now ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has made two records in the name of highest earning in one day by any Hindi film in India, this film is now moving towards a tremendous weekend, where doubling of this figure is not an impossible thing. Trade pundits estimate that the film will make a net collection of more than Rs 100 crore on Saturday or Sunday (and maybe both days).

‘Dhurandhar 2’ is already on its way to becoming the highest grossing Indian film of this year. By Saturday evening, it will remove ‘Border 2’ from the position of number 1 film of the year. This film is also breaking all the earning records of Bollywood. In just two days, it has entered the top 5 films with highest weekend collections ever and is all set to top the list by the end of the weekend.
