The film has collected a net collection of more than Rs 100 crore in 24 hours. Including Rs 43 crore from paid-preview shows and around Rs 65 crore on the first day, ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ has crossed Rs 108 crore.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ became the fastest to make Rs 100 crore

The proof of the craze there is for ‘Dhurandhar 2’ was found in the preview shows held on Wednesday itself. The public took these previews so seriously that ‘Dhurandhar 2’ collected Rs 43 crore nett in just two evening shows in theatres. ‘Dhurandhar 2’ ticket booking platforms have been on fire since Thursday morning. At one point in the day, the film broke the record of ‘Pushpa 2’ of selling more than one lakh tickets in an hour. When the demand for tickets is so strong, it is not difficult to understand how fast the film’s earning meter would be running at the box office. SACNILC’s data shows that the latest reading of this meter is 65 crores.

The preview shows of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ on Wednesday started at 4.30 pm or later at most places. That is, only about 24 hours have passed since ‘Dhurandhar 2’ reached the theaters and its total net collection including the first day collection along with the preview has crossed Rs 108 crore. Films like ‘Pushpa 2’, ‘Jawaan’, ‘Pathan’, ‘Animal’, ‘Stree 2’ and ‘KGF 2’ had made the record of earning Rs 100 crore the fastest.

All these films took two days to earn Rs 100 crore, but ‘Dhurandhar 2’ has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark just from the opening day and preview shows. Till now, no Hindi film had crossed the figure of Rs 80 crores including first day collection along with preview shows, but the opening collection of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ along with previews is ready to go far beyond Rs 100 crores. The craze for Ranveer Singh’s film is going to dwarf the big box office records. Now it remains to be seen what kind of noise this box office party of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ creates in the coming days?
