Dhurandhar 2 review: Ending explained, does Hamza die? Two post-credits scenes decoded, is Dhurandhar 3 happening?Instagram

You are not ready for this. This is how Ranveer Singh’s Durandhar 2 sums up. Hamza will keep you on the edge of your seat and will surely give you goosebumps. Dhurandhar: The Revenge is brutal; the action sequences will make you clench your eyes, and the four-hour-long film keeps you hooked without a blink.

The movie has so far got positive reviews and has already minted over Rs 100 crore, shattering all box-office records. Not just netizens, even celebs are showering praise on Ranveer’s performance. From Jr NTR to Rupali Ganguly to Mahesh Babu, everyone is going gaga over Ranveer’s screen presence.

(Spoilers ahead)

Dhurandhar Part 1 was all about the fight against terrorism, violence, and how Pakistan attacked India. The biggest references shown in the film were the Mumbai terror attack, the Parliament attack, and many more. Part 2 is all about revenge and how India’s dynamics have changed. It has PM Modi’s cameo, demonetisation, and his speeches.

The Bade Sahab, that is Dawood Ibrahim, is also revealed in the film, and no, it’s not essayed by Salman, SRK, Emraan Hashmi, or anyone else.

If you haven’t seen the film, here’s the ending explanation and what the post-credit scenes reveal without giving away spoilers.

Yami Gautam’s cameo as Nurse Shazia Bano has gone viral despite spoiler warnings. In the videos, Yami, dressed in a white nurse’s outfit, a spy for India in Pakistan, is seen playing Shazia Bano, where she kills a Pakistani terrorist by injecting him. The terrorist had earlier killed one of Hamza Ali Mazari’s (Ranveer Singh) key targets, who was undergoing treatment at the hospital.

With just one dialogue, Yami’s character kills the patient before looking at Ranveer Singh, who is standing at the door. She then nods at him and walks away, making it a brief but impactful cameo.

One question that continues to linger is whether Hamza, aka Jaskirat Singh Rangi, dies in the end. Hamza, played by Ranveer Singh, is subjected to intense torture following the final face-off with Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal). During this confrontation, it is revealed that Hamza is actually an Indian spy. Just when it seems like he might succumb to the torture, Ajay Sanyal (R. Madhavan) arrives as his saviour. As per HT’s report, Sanyal puts pressure on a Pakistani Army official and ultimately rescues Hamza.

Jaskirat does manage to return to India. However, the way he does so forms a major twist. Towards the end of Dhurandhar 2, it is revealed that politician Jameel Jamali (Rakesh Bedi) is actually an undercover Indian agent who has been operating across the border for the past five years. He plays a crucial role in helping Jaskirat return home safely.

The ending leaves fans with several unanswered questions. The film concludes with Jaskirat returning to his hometown, but it does not reveal whether he reconnects with his family or resumes his life as a spy, keeping the audience guessing about his future.

Is Yalina an Indian?

The love story of Sara Arjun’s Yalina and Ranveer Singh’s Hamza comes to a critical end. Yalina could turn into an Indian national if she wanted to, but no, she is not technically Indian.

The story doesn’t end with the emotional final scene, as Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has two interesting end-credit moments. The first appears as a montage during the credits, showing how Jaskirat was trained after being saved by R. Madhavan’s Ajay Sanyal and his team. The sequence captures his intense journey as he transforms into a skilled spy, mastering combat and surveillance.

The second is a short post-credit scene featuring General Shahnawaz, played by Raj Zutshi. The scene shows him losing his temper in front of his officers after being pressured into releasing Hamza. None of these end-credit scenes clearly hint at a third instalment, making it evident that Dhurandhar 3 is not on the cards.

Dhurandhar 2: Who is Bade Sahab?

There was considerable speculation about the identity of Bade Sahab, with many expecting a cameo by a major superstar. However, the role is actually played by Danish Iqbal, a well-known name in the theatre world. A graduate of the National School of Drama, he is known for his performances in Maharani 2, Aakhri Sach, and Sankalp.

Celebs review Dhurandhar

Actor Rakesh Bedi, who stars as Pakistani politician Jameel Jamali in Dhurandhar 2, reacted to a question on the film being called ‘propaganda’ by a section of the audience on social media platforms. “I don’t believe in politics. I think it’s the cinema… Everybody has the right to like or dislike a film. But I don’t think it’s right to put a film into some kind of category… That it’s pro-establishment or anti-establishment. The verdict is that people are loving it,” Rakesh told NDTV.

“Recently, there was a film on Indira Gandhi and (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi, these films didn’t run for even two days. Dhurandhar’s writing and screenplay are great. People haven’t seen a film of this scale being mounted ever,” the actor added.

Taking to X, actor Jr NTR said that Ranveer Singh “delivered an absolute masterclass on screen.” He wrote, “A big salute to the team of #DhurandharTheRevenge for delivering a storm to Indian audiences. Ranveer sir @RanveerOfficial is not just breathtaking…. He delivered an absolute masterclass on screen. It takes conviction and fearless vision to mount a film like this and Aditya Dhar sir @adityadharfilms brings that strength to every frame.”

“Using every tool at his disposal to elevate each scene to its absolute best deserves a standing ovation. This is a film that rouses your emotions and stays with you long after the end titles roll. @Madhavan sir is as effortless as ever and it was fire to watch him dominate every frame he is in,” he continued.

“@SanjayDutt sir and @ArjunRampal sir delivered solid layered performances throughout. Shashwat Sachdev’s music hits on another level elevating every sequence and adding to the film’s adrenaline. Big big congratulations to the entire team. This one will go a long way…”

Celina penned a long note to review Dhurandhar 2. She said, “Congratulations @ranveersingh. Oh my God, you were phenomenal. Some of your scenes really hit deep. Phew, run out of words to praise you. And @saraarjunn was absolutely captivating opposite you. I have truly run out of words to express how phenomenal @actormaddy is in this film. Each and every performance left a mark.”
