Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’s runtime decided, Ranveer Singh’s film gets UA 16+ certificate
New Delhi . After the tremendous success of Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar, now the eyes of the audience are fixed on its sequel. Dhurandhar Part 1 had a blockbuster performance at the box office and now ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ is all set to release in theaters on March 19. Ahead of its release, a big update has come out about the film—the Central Board of Film Certification has given the green signal to the film and its official runtime has also been revealed.
According to CBFC, the film has been awarded UA 16+ certificate. This means that viewers under the age of 16 are advised to watch the film under parental supervision. The film was issued a certificate on 9 February. With the certification, it has also become clear that the runtime of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ will be slightly shorter than Part 1.
While the first part of ‘Dhurandhar’ was of total duration of 3 hours 35 minutes, the duration of Part 2 has been kept at 208 minutes i.e. 3 hours 28 minutes. It is worth noting that the first part also included a post-credits scene of about four minutes, due to which its total duration increased. This time the makers have tried to present the story relatively tightly, although the film still seems to be long and made on a grand scale.
The film has been directed by Aditya Dhar and this time the story is said to be more intense and emotional than before. According to reports, the story of Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza Ali will be taken forward in the sequel. Besides, the mysterious character of ‘Bade Saheb’ will also be unveiled, about which there has been curiosity among the audience since the first part.
It is also being discussed that Yami Gautam’s cameo can be seen in the film. Although there is no official confirmation regarding this yet, but if this happens then it can prove to be a big surprise for the fans. The trailer of the film is expected to be released in the first week of March, giving a glimpse of the story and characters.
Interestingly, ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is going to clash with South Superstar Yash’s film ‘Toxic’ at the box office. In such a situation, the third week of March is going to be very exciting from the box office point of view. Due to the clash between the two big films, a fierce competition can be seen in the theatres.
Overall, ‘Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge’ is a little shorter than the first part, but is claiming to be more powerful than before in terms of action, drama and suspense. Now it will be interesting to see whether this sequel also creates history at the box office like Part 1 or not.
