News India Live, Digital Desk: Bollywood’s ‘Powerhouse’ Ranveer Singh and ‘Uri’ fame director Aditya Dhar’s film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ (Dhurandhar 2) is showing no signs of stopping at the box office. The film has touched such earning figures in its first weekend (4 days) itself, which has left behind even historical blockbuster films like Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ and Prabhas’s ‘Baahubali’. According to trade analysts, the film has set a new record by collecting ₹ 450 crore in the domestic market and more than ₹ 690 crore worldwide in just four days. Earning storm on Sunday: Historic figure of ₹ 114 crore ‘Dhurandhar 2’ brought a tsunami at the box office on Sunday (fourth day). The film collected a total nett collection of ₹114.85 crore across all languages in India. This is the biggest single day earning ever for any Hindi film. The film had earned ₹113 crore on Saturday and ₹80.72 crore on Friday, while its opening on Thursday was ₹102.55 crore. Including ₹ 43 crores of paid previews, the total domestic net collection of the film has reached ₹ 454.12 crores. Records of Dangal and Bahubali destroyed, next target is 1000 crores. This film has done in just 4 days what big films take weeks to do. With a net collection of ₹454 crore, it has shattered the lifetime records of Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’ (₹387 crore) and SS Rajamouli’s ‘Bahubali’ (₹421 crore). Talking about the worldwide gross collection, the film has crossed the figure of ₹691.32 crore. With the pace at which the film is progressing, trade pundits believe that the film can become the second biggest film of Indian cinema (after Dangal) by joining the ₹ 1000 crore club in its first week. The magic of ‘Hamza’ is spread all over the world, recorded in North America too. Ranveer Singh’s incarnation of ‘Hamza’ is being liked tremendously not only in India but also in foreign countries. The film has done a business of $9.6 million (approximately ₹80 crore) in North America (USA and Canada) alone. This is the biggest opening weekend for any Indian film there. The film’s action scenes and gripping screenplay have also been praised by South superstars like Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun. Although some controversies are still going on regarding the film, the box office figures are testifying that the audience has become a fan of ‘Dhurandhar 2’.
